
Susan Hannah Hadary is a recipient of an Oscar® and national Peabody Award for the short documentary King Gimp; and also has received a CableAce Award, national Emmy nominations, and six regional Emmy Awards. Her documentaries have been acquired and commissioned by HBO, The Learning Channel, Discovery and Discovery Health.
Susan Hannah Hadary, the director of MedSchool Maryland Productions and Video Press, is the winner of an Oscar®, a Peabody Award and numerous Emmy awards. She has been the producer for three HBO documentaries and the supervising producer and writer for over 30 programs commissioned by Discovery including the Med School series, Critical Incident series and Critical Hour series.
Recently, under funding from The Abell Foundation, she developed a video web based violence prevention campaign which can be seen at www.bettermyworld.org. Under a special commission from the Albert and Mary Lasker Foundation she created video profiles of the Lasker laureates, viewable at www.laskerfoundation.org. Other productions this year included a special campaign for Baltimore City foster children and a training series for the Veterans Administration.

Her past collaborations with Bill Whiteford included three documentaries for HBO; Bong and Donnell, Love, Josh and the widely acclaimed Academy Award winning production King Gimp. These documentaries bringing to the screen the portrait of many "ordinary people" who have had exceptional life circumstances. Often following the "documentary stars" for many years, they capture the journey of life.

Selected by The Academy for inclusion in its 1995-96 Contemporary Documentary Series. After being released as a film, Bong and Donnell was acquired by HBO and won a CableAce Award and two national Emmy nominations.
Grace
Selected by The Academy for presentation in its documentary series. After its release as a film, Grace was released on public television and won a regional Emmy award for best documentary as well as top awards in numerous other competitions.
Love, Josh
Recipient of a Freddie Award. Love, Josh was released first as a film and later aired on HBO Family. A national outreach for this film was organized by The National Hospice and Palliative Care Association.
