More prevalent than any other form of neglect and just as abusive, this is the neglect of a resident’s individuality. A resident who likes a quiet world is placed in a noisy environment. A vivacious resident is left in their room. A person who likes to decide on their personal appearance isn't given choices. Dr. Stevens works with nursing assistants to identify these de-humanizing abusive situations. Filmed at Alice Manor.
