patient vignettes
30 minutes
$150 purchase; $75 rental
This DVD presents a composite of all patient footage from the videos profiling stage one through stage three. It is an excellent way to introduce students to the stages of Alzheimer’s disease and the associated symptoms.
In just 30 minutes, the progression of Alzheimer’s disease is presented through clinical footage of patients visualizing the deficits associated with each stage of the disease. This virtual visit provides an experience for students far more intensive and educational than a visit to nursing home.
Note: There is no commentary in this program.
Topics: cognitive impairment, memory loss, perception problems, disorientation
Audience: students in health professional programs, allied health, social work and medicine. Long-term care, assisted living, adult day care, and hospice staff. Alzheimer’s support groups.
This program is part of "The Alzheimer's Encyclopedia" series.
